Clemson University is a public land-grant university in Clemson, South Carolina, founded in 1889. It has approximately 23,400 undergraduate students and 5,700 graduate students.
Dr. James P. Clements has been President of Clemson University since 2013. He expresses the values of the institution as “integrity, respect, diversity, patriotism, excellence, and self-reliance.” His youngest daughter, Grace Clements, was among the students receiving a certificate, graduating from ClemsonLIFE (Learning is for Everyone), a post-secondary certificate program for young adults with intellectual disabilities. The program teaches functional academics, independent living, employment, and social/leisure skills to promote independent living and employment skills.
