A key actor in the construction of a pluripolar world
On February 12, the International Manifesto Group sponsored a Webinar, “Iran & Cuba Promoting Pluripolarity,” in commemoration of the 43rd anniversary of the triumph of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, and in celebration of the Farsi translation of Arnold August’s Cuba-US Relations. The event was co-sponsored by The Black Alliance for Peace, the U.S. Peace Council, and The Canada Files.
The webinar was introduced by Radhika Desai, convener of the International Manifesto Group; and Professor of Political Studies and Director of the Geopolitical Economy Research Group, University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada. The International Manifesto Group, she noted, focuses on the global battle between imperialism and anti-imperialism, in a historic moment in which imperialism is slipping, as is seen by the U.S. withdrawal in Afghanistan.
