The evident limitations of the lack of anti-imperialist consciousness
I have in previous commentaries defended the MAGA movement from a Marxist-Leninist-Fidelist perspective. I have maintained that the MAGA movement has put forth a number of reasonable proposals, including: strengthening the American economy by eliminating balance of trade and state-budget deficits as well as by freeing energy production from climate alarmist overreach; establishing legal and orderly international migration; eliminating DEI and restoring the unifying principle of equal opportunity for all, without consideration of race or ethnicity; reestablishing science and common sense with respect to gender; and recognizing and celebrating the democratic ideas and practices of American history. However, I also have insisted that the MAGA movement lacks consistent anti-imperialist consciousness. The MAGA movement has stood against imperialist overreach, symbolized by the nation’s pointless involvement in endless wars. But…
