I enjoyed this article. It was easy to read and quite informative. I seem to remember in my college years there was a discussion in a history class about economies being interwoven and dependent upon each other as a mechanism to prevent wars. The economies of China and the US and other countries are not a bad thing. What are your thoughts on that?
Thanks very much for your comment. Yes, cooperation and mutually beneficial trade among nations is the surest road to peace. This is the view that China and the Non-Aligned Movement are advocating in international forums, and are trying to develop in practice. We should expand relations with China in ways that are beneficial to both, and reject the New Cold War with China, being pushed in some sectors of the elite, as an outdated approach.
